A vintage feel : MIKA Japanese Bistro

Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago, I went to Kota Kasablanka on a Saturday night. I was browsing around the Food Society area, when I noticed this beautiful vintage themed restaurant called MIKA. As i stepped inside, I was amazed by the design and props they have inside.

The restaurant has white painted brick wall and vintage chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There are also some old designed bookshelves with real books, which made the restaurant look like a scene from a 50's movie. I loved it.

The lighting was yellow and a bit dimmed, which really adds a vintage feel and integrate really well with the theme. I was so excited, luckily I had my camera with me.

An old clock sitting on an old cabinet.
Main course 1 : Meatball Omurice. The omelette was superb and moist, meatball just alright. Priced at 65K
Main course 2 : Soy braised US beef karubi. Karubi is belly part of beef. It has amounts of fats in between the meat. The beef was tasty but a bit oily for my liking. But the presentation is cute :) Priced at 62K.

Main course 3 : Demiglaze Omurice. Japanese style fried rice with creamy soft omelette. The omelette is good. But can't really say great things about the rest. Priced at 65K.

Overall verdict : I think the food was decent, service was good, ambiance is excellent. So, will I come back? Sure :) next time I will try their dessert selection and drinks :)
